Adding Deposit Protection

How to add deposit protection in Re-Leased's Deposit Hub — create TDS (Insured) protection or import existing TDS/SDS protection records. UK customers only.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Re-Leased integrates with deposit protection schemes to let you register tenant deposits without leaving the platform. The platform currently supports two schemes — Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) Insured (UK-wide) and Safe Deposits Scotland (SDS) (Scottish properties only).

Note: The Deposit Hub is only available for customers created on or after 1 January 2026. Existing customers will need to wait for a migration before accessing this functionality.

  3. Verify the auto-populated details: landlord name, contact information, and address.

Adding SDS Protection

Protecting a deposit directly with Safe Deposits Scotland through Re-Leased is not yet supported — create the protection in SDS first, then import it:

  1. Navigate to the deposit details page and click Add protection.

  2. Select Import existing Protection from SDS.

  3. Enter the protection ID from SDS and submit.

Importing an Existing TDS Protection

If you've already registered a deposit with TDS outside Re-Leased:

  1. Click Import existing Protection from TDS.

  2. Enter the protection ID and submit.
