Archiving a Budget

How to archive and restore budgets in Re-Leased — covers the archive steps, impact on rent templates, and restoring approved or draft budgets. Reconciled budgets cannot be restored once archived.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Archiving removes a budget from active view. This is a permanent action for reconciled budgets — they cannot be restored. Budgets in Approved or Draft status can be archived and then restored if needed.

Important: Archiving a budget does not affect existing rent templates. Manually remove the outgoings line item from the relevant rent templates after archiving to keep financial records accurate.

How to Archive a Budget

  1. Navigate to the relevant Property.

  2. Select Outgoings from the left-hand menu.

  3. Click the Budgets tab.

  4. Click the budget you wish to archive.

  5. Click the Archive button in the bottom right corner.

  6. Confirm by clicking Archive This Budget.

How to Restore an Archived Budget

  1. Click the Archived Budgets tab.

  2. Locate the budget and click Restore.

  3. Confirm by clicking Restore again.

The budget returns to its previous Approved or Draft status. Budgets archived under Reconciled status cannot be restored.

Budget by Area is referred to as Budgeted Outgoings in Asia-Pacific, Service Charge in Europe, and Operating Expenses in North America. For more information on regional terminology, see our Glossary of Regional Terminology.
