There are no automated fees from tenants.  We are working on this for a future release, but in the meantime, here are some tips to help you handle fees from tenants.

Prepare to charge your tenants a fee by adding a new Owners Ledger, with no property associated, in the trust account.  Ensure the owner contact for the ledger has correct banking details for where the fees should be disbursed.

Set up income codes to use for fees from tenants.  It is up to you if you want to have one code for all tenant fees or a different code for each type of fee.  This information will be able to be reported on using the Landlord financial reports.  Any division required in reporting will be achievable using the chart of accounts.  These fees will not be able to be included in the normal fee reports.

Charge the fee using an Income Invoice to the tenant.  The system will default the invoice to the owner's ledger, edit this to the fee ledger so that when funds are receipted to the invoice it is applied to the fee ledger.

It is important to charge fees on their own invoice, separate to any rent or other funds due to the landlord.
