Managing Property Insurance

How to manage property insurance in Re-Leased — view, add, edit, archive, and renew insurance policies from the Insurance tab on a property record.

The Insurance tab on a property record lets you view, add, edit, and renew all insurance policies associated with that property.


Accessing Property Insurance Records

  1. Select the property from your portfolio.

  2. Click the Insurance tab from the left-hand menu to open the Property Insurance page.

The Property Insurance page shows all insurance policies for the property. Click a Policy Title to edit it, or use the Preview link for a quick view.

How to Add a New Insurance Policy

  1. Click New Insurance Record.

  2. Fill in the required fields: Policy Number, Insurance Type, Insurance Company Name, Broker Name, Policy Start and Renewal Dates, Premium, Excess, and Cover Amounts.

  3. Attach any relevant documents and add notes as needed.

  4. Click Save.

Note: Insurance Type options are defined in Company Settings. If a Broker Name is not already set up as a contact, it will be added as a new contact automatically.


How to Edit or Archive a Policy

  1. Click the policy name to preview it.

  2. Select Insurance Details from the left side menu.

  3. Make the necessary edits, then click Save. Click Cancel to discard changes.

  4. To remove a policy permanently, click Archive.

How to Renew an Insurance Policy

  1. Go to the Dashboard calendar.

  2. Click the insurance event to be renewed and select Mark as Complete.

  3. Select Yes to proceed with creating a renewal record.

  4. Update the insurance details for the new policy period and click Save.
