Adding a New Tenant Insurance Policy

How to add a tenant or lease insurance policy in Re-Leased — add from the tenancy record, enter policy details, attach documents, assign expiry reminders, and view reminder tiles on the Dashboard.

Updated this week

You can add an insurance policy to a tenancy directly from the tenancy record. Once added, expiry reminders will appear on the Dashboard for the assigned user.

How to Add a Tenant Insurance Policy

  1. Open the relevant tenancy and click the Insurance tab from the left-hand menu.

  2. Press Add Insurance to begin creating a new policy record.

Note: A visual indicator appears next to the Insurance tab heading. A red dot indicates an expired policy; an orange dot indicates a policy expiring soon.

Entering Policy Details

  1. Fill in all relevant fields for the tenant's insurance policy.

  2. To attach a policy document, use the Documents section. Once attached, you can edit, delete, or download it by hovering over the document name.

  3. Under Assign to, select the Re-Leased user who should receive the policy expiry reminder.

  4. Reminders default to 30 days before expiry. To set a custom date, check the Set custom reminder option.

  5. Click Save to complete the entry.
