Adding and Editing Contacts

How to add and edit contacts in Re-Leased — contacts are added automatically when used in properties and tenancies, or manually via the Quick Links bar or Contacts page. Edit individuals directly or bulk-edit via import.

Updated this week

Contacts in Re-Leased can be added automatically as you work, or manually when needed. You can add tenants, suppliers, owners, and other contact types, and edit them at any time.

Automatic Addition of Contacts

When you enter a new contact while setting up Properties, Leases/Tenancies, or creating Maintenance tasks, the system automatically adds that contact to your contacts list.

How to Add a Contact Manually

Use one of these two methods:

  1. Click the Add [+] button in the Quick Links bar and select New Contact.

  2. Navigate to Contacts and click New Contact.

Contact Details and Classification

Enter the contact's name, email, and phone — these appear on correspondence and invoices. Use the address duplication feature to save time when entering address details.

For tax and payment details, enter the relevant tax information. For Australia and NZ customers, ensure bank branch numbers are correct. If an account is set as the default expense invoice account, it will be automatically applied to expense invoices from that contact.

Note: BPAY Creditor is an Australia-specific contact category. See the Glossary of Regional Terminology for regional terms.

How to Edit a Contact

To edit an individual contact:

  1. Navigate to Contacts and click the relevant contact.

  2. Make your changes and click Save.

To edit multiple contacts at once:

  1. Export your contacts list.

  2. Download the contact import template.

  3. Transfer the contacts requiring edits into the template.

  4. Update the necessary fields.

  5. Import the template back into Re-Leased to update the existing records.
