When creating expense invoices for BPAY creditors in Re-Leased, you need to link the correct BPAY fields to ensure payments are processed accurately.
Note: This process applies to Australian customers only.
Step 1: Start the Expense Invoice
Navigate to Income & Expenses and select New Expense Invoice from the dropdown at the top right.
Select your company and complete the following fields:
Property and Tenancy Fields
Related Property — every BPAY expense invoice must be linked to a specific property.
Related Area — leave blank if the invoice covers the whole property. Select the specific area if the invoice applies to one.
Related Tenancy — select if you want to link the expense to a tenancy for on-charging purposes.
Step 2: Set the BPAY Creditor and Details
In the From field, select the BPAY creditor. BPAY fields will appear on the form automatically.
Check the BPAY CRN (Customer Reference Number) — adjust if needed by checking against property and area details or adding a new one.
Enter the BPAY Biller Code if it is not already saved. It will be saved automatically for future invoices with this creditor.
If you are processing an invoice for a new creditor, create their contact record during this step and ensure you mark them as a BPAY Creditor so the BPAY fields appear.
Step 3: Complete and Save the Invoice
Fill in the remaining invoice details. The BPAY details you've entered will be used for disbursements and the generation of the BPAY bank file.
