If you use NetSuite's related contacts feature - where a single contact is set up as both a customer and a vendor - those contacts now sync across to Re-Leased automatically. You no longer need to maintain duplicate records or work around the linkage to keep your books and your property data aligned.
What's a related contact?
In NetSuite, you can set up a customer and a vendor that share the same identity - typically used when a single party (for example, a related entity, an internal company, or a contractor who is also a tenant) needs to appear on both the AR and AP side. NetSuite forces these records to share an internal ID and name, which previously prevented them from syncing into Re-Leased without conflict.
The integration now recognises these linked records and brings them through as separate Customer and Vendor contacts in Re-Leased.
How it works
When a customer and vendor in NetSuite are linked as related contacts, Re-Leased syncs them as two contacts and adds a suffix to each name to keep them distinct:
(Customer) - appended to the contact synced from the customer record
(Vendor) - appended to the contact synced from the vendor record
For example, a related contact called Acme Holdings Ltd in NetSuite will appear in Re-Leased as Acme Holdings Ltd (Customer) and Acme Holdings Ltd (Vendor). This keeps both sides of the relationship visible while preserving the original NetSuite linkage on subsequent syncs.
What you'll see in Re-Leased
After your next sync:
Both the Customer and Vendor versions of the contact appear in your Contacts list, each with its respective suffix.
Each contact behaves like a standard contact of its type - you can use the Customer record on invoices and the Vendor record on bills.
If you update the underlying contact in NetSuite, both records refresh on the next sync.
Existing customers and vendors with the same name
If you previously worked around the limitation by creating separate customer and vendor records with matching names, those existing records continue to work as they always have. The suffix behaviour only applies to contacts that NetSuite recognises as related contacts through Other Relationships.
Availability
This is available to all Re-Leased customers connected to NetSuite. No configuration is needed - related contacts will sync automatically on your next NetSuite sync.
