How to Connect Oracle NetSuite to Re-Leased

How to connect Re-Leased to Oracle NetSuite — covers navigation to integrations, connecting with the Re-Leased Integration Role, setting a sync date, matching existing data, and optional contact exclusion setup.

Updated today

This guide walks you through connecting Re-Leased to Oracle NetSuite. Before starting, complete the required setup in NetSuite — see Setting Up Oracle NetSuite Before Connecting to Re-Leased.

The NetSuite setup requires: Tax Types, Chart of Accounts, Classifications, and Items (service or inventory items for each income type that will appear on invoice lines).

Step 1 — Navigate to Integrations

  1. Navigate to Settings in Re-Leased.

  2. Select your company from the dropdown at the top left.

  3. Scroll down to Manage Add-ons and Integrations.

Step 2 — Connect to NetSuite

  1. Click Connect on the Oracle NetSuite tile.

  2. Review the sync details between Re-Leased and NetSuite, then select Connect to NetSuite.

  3. Complete four confirmation steps verifying the essential NetSuite setup is in place. Click Continue through each step.

  4. On the final step, click Connect to NetSuite to go to NetSuite and confirm your credentials.

  5. Important: Change the role from Administrator to Re-Leased Integration Role — this step is easily missed and is required for correct permissions.

  6. Select your Oracle NetSuite subsidiary and click Continue to return to Re-Leased.

Step 3 — Set Your Sync from Date

Choose a Sync from Date — only transactions dated on or after this date will be included. This date cannot be earlier than 2018. We recommend going back no further than two years from the current date to minimise the volume of data in the initial sync.

Step 4 — Matching

If Re-Leased already contains data, you'll be prompted to match or archive Tax Types, Chart of Accounts, Tracking Options, and Contacts. If connecting to a new, empty Re-Leased company, no matching is required.

For each item in each category, choose to match to an existing NetSuite record, create a new one in NetSuite (Contacts only), or archive in Re-Leased. Each NetSuite record can only be used once. Select Continue after completing each step.

Optional — Set Up Contact Exclusions

You can control which contacts sync by creating a custom checkbox field in NetSuite:

  • Label: Disable syncing to Re-Leased

  • ID: custentity_rl_syncingdisabled

  • Applies to: Customers and Vendors

Apply the field to relevant forms and ensure visibility under the Custom tab. Contacts with this box checked (and their related transactions) will not sync — or will be removed if already synced. See Set up Contact Exclusions for NetSuite for full details.

Step 5 — Confirm and Initial Sync

When all elements are matched or archived, click Confirm to trigger the first sync. This may take some time depending on data volume.
