In this article, we'll guide you through the process of initiating a sync between the two systems and explain how to interpret sync statuses. By the end, you'll understand how to successfully manage data syncing and address any potential errors that may arise during the process.
How to Initiate a Manual Sync
Triggering a manual sync between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct is straightforward and can be done in one of two ways:
- Click on the flag icon located next to the search bar. In the dropdown menu, select Start Sync.
- Alternatively, navigate to the Sync Results Page and click on the Sync button.
Once initiated, a spinning circle will appear next to the search bar signalling that a sync is currently in progress. If you click on this spinning icon, a dropdown will display which entities are in the process of syncing between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct.
Understanding Sync Flags and Statuses
During the sync process, different flags will appear to provide you with the status of the sync:
- A blue flag indicates that the sync has successfully concluded with no errors detected.
- An orange flag, replacing the spinning wheel, signifies that the sync has encountered an error but is still in progress. By selecting the error message within the dropdown, you can identify and address the issue while the sync continues.
- A red flag indicates that the sync has finished, but there are errors that need your attention and resolution.
Resolving Sync Errors
If an error is encountered during the sync, these will need to be addressed. Here's what you need to do:
- Click on View sync results to be directed to the Sync Results page.
- Examine the listed errors, which can typically be corrected or unlinked directly from this page
