This article explains how invoice numbering functions work when you integrate Re-Leased with Sage Intacct. We will explain the invoicing process, both within Re-Leased and Sage Intacct, and what happens to your invoice numbers if the integration is discontinued. Our goal is to help you understand the numbering sequence for your invoices so that you can manage your accounting with confidence.
Invoices Created in Re-Leased
When you generate an invoice in Re-Leased, it will initially carry a Re-Leased specific invoice number. Upon approving and syncing the invoice with Sage Intacct:
- The invoice will be assigned a Sage Intacct invoice number.
- This new Sage Intacct invoice number will be automatically sent back to Re-Leased.
- The Sage Intacct number will now display within Re-Leased for reference.
This seamless integration ensures that once an invoice is approved, its numbering is consistent with your Sage Intacct system.
Invoices Created in Sage Intacct
Invoices created directly in Sage Intacct will:
- Be assigned a Sage Intacct invoice number from the get-go.
- Retain this Sage Intacct invoice number when synchronized with Re-Leased.
The consistency of the numbering ensures you can easily track and manage invoices regardless of where they were created.
Disconnecting from Sage Intacct
If you decide to disconnect the integration between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct:
- All invoices in Re-Leased will switch back to using the Re-Leased numbering system.
- Previously synchronized invoice numbers from Sage Intacct will be retained for reference, but new invoices will follow Re-Leased's numbering protocol.
This ensures that even after the integration has ended, your historical invoices remain traceable within your records.
By understanding the flow of invoice numbering across Re-Leased and Sage Intacct, you can maintain a streamlined accounting process and ensure accurate financial tracking.
