Tags help you organise and quickly identify properties, tenancies, and contacts across your portfolio. Whether you're managing hundreds of assets or a few, tags streamline your workflow and enhance your search capabilities.
In this guide, we’ll walk through how to:
- Create and apply tags
- Add tags to notes and documents
- Import tags in bulk
- Search using tags
Creating and Applying Tags
Tags work like labels you can apply to properties, tenancies, and contacts for easy sorting and searching.
To create a tag for a Property:
- Go to the relevant property and select Property Details.
- Find the Tags section.
- Start typing — if the tag already exists, select it. If not, type a new one to create and apply it instantly.
To create a tag for a Tenancy:
- Open the tenancy and go to Tenancy Details.
- In the Tags section, type and apply your tag(s) as needed.
To tag a Contact:
- Click the Contacts tab.
- Select a contact and locate the Tags area.
- Start typing to add an existing tag or create a new one.
- You can also view tags on the main Contacts screen for a quick reference.
Adding Tags to Notes
Tags can also be used to categorise notes and documents associated with properties, tenancies, or contacts.
- Go to the relevant record (Property, Tenancy, or Contact).
- Select Notes from the left-hand menu.
- Click New Note to create an entry.
- Fill in your note details — Date, Type, Subject, and description.
- Use the Tags field to apply relevant tags.
- Click Save to finish.
Importing Tags in Bulk
If you already have a list of tags, you can save time by importing them all at once.
- Go to Settings and choose Tags.
- Click Import and follow the instructions to upload your spreadsheet.
- You can also use the Create New Tag button to add tags manually.
Searching by Tag
Tags make it easy to find specific records. Here’s how to search using tags:
- Choose Properties, Tenancies, or Contacts from the main menu.
- Expand the search bar to open the advanced search filters.
- Type in one or more tags in the Search for tag(s) field.
By using tags consistently, you’ll gain quicker access to the information you need — and stay organised as your portfolio grows.
