Here's how to edit the details of a contact when Re-Leased is synced with Xero. Whether you need to update a contact's information in Re-Leased or Xero, the sync feature ensures your changes are reflected across both platforms.


Editing a Contact in Re-Leased

Updating a contact's information in Re-Leased is straightforward:

  1. Navigate to the Contacts menu and select the contact you wish to edit.
  2. Amend the necessary details within the contact's profile.
  3. Click Save to apply your changes. Saving will immediately trigger a sync, updating the contact's details in Xero as well.

Editing a Contact in Xero

Similarly, editing a contact in Xero is also uncomplicated:

  1. Go to the Contacts menu in Xero.
  2. Use the three dots menu alongside the contact's name and click on Edit.
  3. Modify the contact's details as needed and then press Save. The updates will be synced with Re-Leased either during the next automatic sync or you can initiate a manual sync.

Making Changes in Both Systems at the Same Time

Should changes to a contact's details occur in both Re-Leased and Xero simultaneously, it's important to understand which system takes priority:

  • Changes made in Re-Leased will take precedence as the Save button in Re-Leased prompts an immediate sync from Re-Leased to Xero.
  • The modifications inputted in Xero will be updated during the following auto-sync cycle or can be manually synced by the user.

Note: To avoid confusion and ensure data integrity, it’s recommended to coordinate updates and avoid editing the contact's details in both systems at the same time unless necessary.
