This article serves as a uide to restoring and archiving contacts within Xero, which will in turn sync with your Re-Leased account to reflect these changes. By keeping both platforms aligned, you can manage your contacts more efficiently.


Restoring an Archived Contact in Xero

Restoring an archived contact in Xero is straightforward. This action will reintegrate the contact with your Re-Leased account, ensuring your records are comprehensive and current. Follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your Xero account.
  2. Navigate to the Contacts menu and select All Contacts.
  3. Click on the Archived tab to view your archived contacts.
  4. Identify and select the contact you wish to restore.
  5. Press the Restore button to reactivate the contact.

Note that syncs between Xero and Re-Leased might take some time. If your contact does not reappear in Re-Leased immediately, please be patient and check again later.


How to Archive a Contact in Xero

To tidy up your contact list and keep only the active contacts in view, archiving unused contacts in Xero is a great practice. Please note that archiving a contact in Xero will be reflected within your Re-Leased account after the next sync cycle. Here's how to archive a contact:

  1. Sign into your Xero dashboard.
  2. Proceed to the Contacts section.
  3. Search for and choose the contact you intend to archive.
  4. Click on Archive and affirm the action if prompted.

Similar to restoration, archiving may also take a bit of time to be updated in Re-Leased following sync.


Troubleshooting Sync Issues

If you notice that contacts are not syncing as expected between Xero and Re-Leased, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure that your sync settings are correctly configured and enabled in both Xero and Re-Leased.
  • Verify that there were no errors during the contact archiving process in Xero.
  • Wait for the next sync cycle as the update may be pending.
