As an admin user of Insights, it's important to maintain the appropriate level of access for your team members to different dashboards and the information they contain. This article will guide you through the simple process of controlling dashboard access for individual users or groups within your organization. By following this guide, you’ll be able to ensure that your team members have the necessary information they require and maintain data security by restricting access where needed.

Create New User Roles

To assign specific dashboard access, you might need to create distinct user roles. Here's how you can make new user roles and manage their access levels:

  1. Navigate to the Settings via the Triple Bar [≡]
  2. Select Maintain User Roles under the Company & Users section.
  3. Click on Create New User Role to establish a new role or group.
  4. Define the level of dashboard access you wish to grant to this new user role group.
  5. Once you've adjusted the settings to your preference, click Save User Role.

View Current Permissions

Keeping track of current permissions can help you ensure that all users have suitable access. Follow these steps to review current permissions:

  1. Access the list of active user roles and groups through Settings menu by clicking Maintain User Roles.
  2. To get more information about their role assignments, click on the downward pointing arrow on the right-hand side of each section.
  3. This will expand each section, showing you detailed access levels for each user role or group.

  1. Go to the Settings menu and click Maintain User Roles.
  2. Select the user role and expand the Insights Permissions section within your chosen user role or group.

Note:
You may encounter dashboards that are not part of your specific Re-Leased subscription. In such cases, toggling the access on or off should not impact the visible list of dashboards.
