This guide explains how to set up the Sage Intacct Contact Exclusion field, which allows you to control which Customers/Vendors are synced between Sage Intacct and Re-Leased by using a custom checkbox. Follow the steps outlined below to ensure the process is set up correctly.
Step 1: Create the Custom Field in Sage Intacct
- Log in to Sage Intacct at the top-level (not entity level).
- Navigate to Applications > Platform Services > Custom Fields.
- Click the Add button to create a new field.
- Fill out the field details as follows:
- Object: Select either Customer or Vendor (you will repeat this process for both).
- Data Type: Checkbox.
- Label: Disable Re-Leased syncing.
- Default Value: Leave unchecked.
- Field ID: RL_SYNCING_DISABLED.
- Field is required: Checked.
- Tab where field appears: Customer or Vendor.
- Click Done to save your changes.
- Repeat this process for the other object (i.e., if you started with Customer, repeat for Vendor).
Step 2: (Optional) Bulk Update Contacts to Disable Syncing
If you need to exclude multiple Customers or Vendors from syncing, you can bulk update your contacts:
1. Export a CSV file from your Intacct Contacts module.
2. Open the file and add a new column header: RL_SYNCING_DISABLED. In the new column, add T (for "true") next to any contact you wish to exclude from syncing.
3. Save the updated file.
4. Re-import the file back into the Intacct Contacts module.
This process will tick the “Disable Re-Leased syncing” checkbox for the specified Customers/Vendors in bulk.
Step 3: Re-Leased Will Use the Field Automatically
Once you've added the custom field RL_SYNCING_DISABLED
and populated it as needed:
- Re-Leased will automatically detect the field during syncing.
- If the checkbox is ticked (value =
T
), the linked Customer/Vendor will be ignored and not appear in Re-Leased. - If the checkbox is unticked or not present, the record will sync as normal.
Note: If the checkbox is ticked after the data has already synced into Re-Leased, the relevant Customer or Vendor will be removed from Re-Leased during the next sync.
Step 4: Final Review and Confirmation
Once all steps are completed, review your Sage Intacct setup to ensure the custom field is configured correctly and optional bulk updates have been applied where necessary. You are now ready to proceed with syncing your data to Re-Leased confidently.
