This article outlines the current limitations and known issues when using the Re-Leased integration with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. If you encounter an issue not listed here, contact our support team. We update this article as the integration improves.

System Requirements and Compatibility

Supported Dynamics Versions

This integration supports cloud-based Dynamics 365 Business Central versions 25 and later only. On-premises installations are not supported.

Dynamics Product Clarification

This integration is specifically for Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) — not Dynamics 365 Finance, which is a separate enterprise ERP. Before connecting, confirm you are using Business Central.

Current Limitations

1. Multiple Email Addresses on Contacts

Status: Not supported. Dynamics allows multiple comma-separated email addresses on contact records, but Re-Leased requires a single valid email. Contacts without a single valid email will fail to sync and appear in the Sync Results page.

2. Duplicate Contact Numbers

Status: Workaround available. Issues occur when a Vendor and Customer in Dynamics share the same name and contact number. Rename one of the contacts (typically the Vendor) in Dynamics to differentiate them.

3. Property Tracking Configuration

Status: Limited support. Property tracking is supported using Dimensions in Dynamics, but only when using Dynamics' native functionality. Third-party or bespoke property management add-ons within Dynamics cannot connect to this integration.

4. Dimension Hierarchy Display

Status: Not supported. Hierarchical dimension structures are not displayed in Re-Leased. Property tracking using a parent dimension is only supported if the parent dimension appears directly on invoices. Child dimensions within a hierarchy may not sync correctly.

5. Contact Syncing Scope

Status: Limited. Only Customers and Vendors are synced from Dynamics. Individual "people" or contact records associated with those entities are not synced.

6. Invoice Editing After Sync

Status: Not supported. Once an approved invoice is synced from Re-Leased to Dynamics, it appears as a Posted Invoice in Dynamics, which cannot be edited through the UI.

7. Tax Calculation and Application

Status: Auto-calculated in Dynamics. Tax is automatically calculated and applied within Dynamics, then synced back to Re-Leased. You cannot directly apply tax rates within Re-Leased prior to syncing. Functionality to apply tax rates in Re-Leased is planned for a future update.
