When Re-Leased is connected to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, financial data flows automatically between both systems. This article explains which entities sync, in which direction, and how key fields map — so you know exactly what to expect when data moves between platforms.
Sync Directions
Two-way sync — data flows in both directions. Changes in either system are reflected in the other.
One-way sync (Business Central → Re-Leased) — data is created or updated in Business Central and imported into Re-Leased. Changes made in Re-Leased for these entities do not push back.

Income Invoices | Sales Invoices | Two-way |
Expense Invoices | Purchase Invoices | Two-way |

Invoices and Credit Notes
Income Invoices
Income Invoices sync with Sales Invoices in Business Central. Key header fields: Invoice Number, Reference (Your Reference), Issue Date, Due Date, Contact (Sell-to Customer No.), Subtotal, Tax Total, Total, Line Amount Type, and Status.
Each line syncs: Description (max 100 chars), Quantity, Unit Price, Line Amount, Tax Amount, Account/Item (G/L Account), and Tracking Categories (Dimension Set ID).
Expense Invoices
Expense Invoices sync with Purchase Invoices. Same structure as income invoices, with Contact mapped to Buy-from Vendor No. and Reference to Vendor Invoice No. (required for posting in Business Central).
Income and Expense Credit Notes
Income Credit Notes sync with Sales Credit Memos; Expense Credit Notes with Purchase Credit Memos. Field mappings follow the same pattern as their invoice equivalents.
Payments
Payments sync one-way only — from Business Central into Re-Leased. Payments recorded in Re-Leased are not pushed back to Business Central.
Customer Payments in Business Central sync as Receipts in Re-Leased; Vendor Payments sync as Remittances. If a payment has unapplied funds, Re-Leased creates an overpayment record to track the unallocated balance.
Contacts
Customers and Vendors in Business Central sync two-ways with Contacts in Re-Leased. Income contacts (debtors) map to Customers; expense contacts (creditors) map to Vendors. Synced fields include: Name, Address, City, Postcode, Country (converted between name and ISO code), Phone, Email, Tax Number, and Contact Category.
Invoice Status Mapping
Business Central Status | Re-Leased Status |
Draft | Awaiting Approval |
In Review | Awaiting Approval |
Open | Approved |
Paid | Approved |
Canceled | Voided |
Corrective | Approved |
Tracking Categories, Tax, Accounts, and Bank Accounts
The following reference data syncs one-way from Business Central into Re-Leased:
Tracking Categories — Dimensions from Business Central sync as Tracking Categories in Re-Leased. Dimension assignments on invoice lines are reflected as Tracking Category selections.
Tax Types — Tax Groups sync as system-defined references. Tax calculation is performed by Business Central.
Chart of Accounts — G/L Accounts sync and appear as account options on invoice lines.
Bank Accounts — sync for use in payment matching and reconciliation.
