Updated over 2 weeks ago

This guide covers how to connect Re-Leased to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You'll need admin access in both Re-Leased and Dynamics Business Central to complete the setup.

Note: This integration is currently in open beta. The Re-Leased extension must be installed from Microsoft AppSource as part of the setup process.

  • Global Admin or Dynamics 365 Admin access in Dynamics Business Central.

  • Admin privileges in Microsoft Entra (Azure AD).

  • Access to your organisation's Azure Portal.

Step 1 — Navigate to Integrations and Add-ons

  1. Log in to Re-Leased and navigate to Settings.

  2. Select Integrations & Add-ons from the dropdown list.

Step 2 — Connect to Dynamics Business Central

Step 4 — Set Up Application Credentials

You'll need an Application ID and Client Secret from a registered Entra Application. If not yet created, register a new application in your Azure tenant. Ensure the following redirect URIs are set:

Step 4.1 — Create a New Entra App Entry

  1. In Dynamics, navigate to the Microsoft Entra Applications page (search "Entra") and create a new entry. The Client ID requested is the Application (client) ID on the Dynamics side.

Step 4.2 — Grant Permissions

Enable the app and grant the following permissions:

  • D365 AUTOMATION — Dynamics 365 Automation (Base Application) - System

  • D365 FULL ACCESS — Dynamics 365 Full Access (Base Application) - System

  • EXTEN. MGT. - ADMIN — Extension Management (System Application) - System

Click Grant Consent (admin privileges required). See Microsoft's guide on Service to Service Authentication for detailed steps.

Step 5 — Enter Your Credentials

Return to Re-Leased and enter the following in the integration setup wizard:

  • Tenant ID — from Step 3

  • Application ID — from your Entra App

  • Client Secret — the secret value from your Entra App

  • Environment Name — enter your sandbox name if applicable; otherwise leave as default

Click Connect to Dynamics Business Central.

Step 6 — Select Your Company

Once authenticated, select the company from your Dynamics account you want to connect to Re-Leased.

Installing the Re-Leased Extension

The Re-Leased extension is required for the integration to work. Install it from the Re-Leased extension on Microsoft AppSource.
