Setting Up a Payment Request Within a Property (UK Only)

How to set up a Payment Request for a property in Re-Leased — enable the feature on VAT Elected commercial properties, understand the difference between Payment Requests and VAT invoices. UK Client Account customers only.

Payment Requests are available for UK commercial property managers using a Client Account. They instruct tenants to make a payment but are not VAT invoices — VAT liability only arises when a VAT invoice is issued after payment is received.

Prerequisites: You must be a UK customer (excluding Jersey), have a Client Account, and the property must be commercial or mixed-use with VAT Elected status.


Enabling Payment Requests for a Property

  1. Navigate to the property's Property Details page.

  2. Ensure the VAT Elected setting is set to VAT.

  3. Enable Payment Requests within the property settings.

Note: Only one Payment Request template is currently available and it cannot be modified.
