How can I add a new user, assign the Property Manager role, and manage their access in Re-Leased?

Managing users effectively in Re-Leased involves adding new users, assigning roles, granting access to specific companies, and troubleshooting visibility issues. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for these tasks.

Inviting a New User and Assigning the Property Manager Role

To invite a new user and assign them the Property Manager role:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Company & Users > Users.

  2. Click Invite User.

  3. Enter the user's details, including their name, email, and phone number (optional).

  4. Set the User Role to the required role.

  5. If the user will manage properties, ensure the User is a Property Manager option is selected.

  6. Send the invite. The user will receive an email invitation and set up their own password when they accept it.

If the user requires access to multiple companies, invite them to one company first, then extend their access from their user profile.

Granting Access to a Specific Company

To grant a user access to a specific company:

  1. Open the user's profile/account.

  2. Go to the Companies section.

  3. Under Companies Without Access, locate the target company.

  4. Tick the checkbox next to the company.

  5. Click Confirm to save the changes.

The user will now have access to the selected company.

Troubleshooting User Visibility in the Property Manager Dropdown

If a user does not appear in the Property Manager dropdown when assigning a Property Manager, ensure the following setting is enabled:

  1. Go to Settings > Company & Users > Users.

  2. Open the user's profile.

  3. Scroll to the Property Management section.

  4. Tick the checkbox for User is a Property Manager.

  5. Save the user profile.

Once this setting is enabled, the user will be selectable in the Property Manager dropdown.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage user roles and access within Re-Leased, ensuring smooth property administration.
