Top-Level Syncing for Sage Intacct

What is Top-Level Syncing?

Top-Level syncing is a configuration option for the Sage Intacct integration that controls where your Re-Leased transactions, such as customers, vendors, invoices, and credit notes, are recorded in Sage Intacct. When enabled, all transactions sync to the top-level of your organization in Sage Intacct, instead of to individual entities.

When to Use Top-Level Syncing

Consider enabling Top-Level syncing if:

  • Your Sage Intacct instance uses top-level accounting rather than entity-level accounting.
  • All Re-Leased transactions need to appear at the organizational level in Sage Intacct.
  • Your accounting team manages finances centrally rather than by entity.

Keep Top-Level syncing disabled if:

  • You use Sage Intacct’s multi-entity features and want transactions to sync to specific entities.
  • Your organization requires detailed entity-level financial reporting and tracking.

How to Enable Top-Level Syncing

For New Sage Intacct Connections

If you're setting up Sage Intacct for the first time in Re-Leased, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate through the integration setup steps by selecting Settings → Manage Add-ons and Integrations flow. Find out more from - How to Connect Re-Leased to Sage Intacct
  2. On the Settings screen, locate the Top-Level syncing toggle.
  3. Toggle Top-Level syncing on if you want to sync transactions at the organizational level.
  4. Continue through the remaining setup steps, including configuring Tax Types, Chart of Accounts, Dimension Categories, Dimensions, Contacts, and confirming your settings.

For Existing Sage Intacct Connections

If Sage Intacct is already connected to Re-Leased and you want to update the Top-Level syncing setting, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings in Re-Leased.
  2. Select Manage Add-ons and Integrations
  3. Locate your Sage Intacct integration tile and click View Details.
  4. Navigate to the Settings tab.
  5. Find and toggle Top-Level syncing on or off based on your requirement.
