Export Budget Details to PDF

  • Updated

Share a complete budget snapshot with stakeholders, owners, and team members in seconds. Instead of manually copying data or taking screenshots, you can now export the entire Budget Details page as a professional PDF in one click.

When to use budget exports

This feature is useful for:

  • Sharing with stakeholders — send a PDF budget snapshot to owners, trustees, or finance teams who need visibility into property costs

  • Archiving records — keep historical budget PDFs as part of your compliance and property records

  • Printing for meetings — generate a clean, professional document for in-person discussions or board presentations

  • External reporting — provide budgets to accountants, auditors, or external management firms

How to export your budget

  1. Navigate to the relevant property

  2. Go to the Outgoings/Property Charges > Budgets section and open a budget

  3. Click the Budget Details tab to view the full budget breakdown

  4. Look for the Export to PDF button in the top right action bar (alongside View Details, Modify, and other options)

  5. Click Export to PDF

Your browser will download a file named BudgetDetails-[PropertyName]-[DateGenerated].pdf. This typically takes a few seconds, though larger budgets with many schedules may take longer and will show a progress indicator.

What's included in your PDF

The exported PDF includes the complete budget view:

  • Property name and budget title

  • Budget period dates (from and to)

  • GST basis (Gross or Tax-inclusive)

  • All accounts and schedules fully expanded

  • Budgeted costs for all areas

  • Area allocations and percentages

  • Non-recoverable totals

The PDF is formatted in landscape orientation to accommodate wide tables. All numbers preserve their formatting: currency symbols, decimals, and percentages.

Filtering before export

If you've used the Filter Areas button to narrow down which areas appear in your Budget Details view, the PDF export respects those filters. Only the areas you can see on screen will be included in the exported PDF.

For example, if you filter to show only "Retail Tenancies" and 5 out of 20 areas match that filter, your PDF will contain only those 5 areas.
