Understanding Sync Types from Xero

How syncing works between Re-Leased and Xero — automatic nightly sync, immediate sync on changes, how to trigger a manual sync, and how to view your fixed Sync from Date.

Updated over a week ago

Re-Leased and Xero sync automatically — this article explains the three sync types and how to view your Sync from Date.

Sync Types

Automatic Sync

Every night, an automatic sync runs to update all data changes between Re-Leased and Xero from that day, keeping both systems aligned at the start of each new day.

Immediate Sync

When you make changes in Re-Leased — such as adding or editing an invoice, or creating a payment — those changes push to Xero immediately, keeping your accounting records current in real time.

Manual Sync

To trigger a sync at any time:

  1. Click the Sync icon in the grey sub-navigation bar.

  2. Click Start sync.

Note: A manual sync only initiates a sync for the company you are currently (or were last) working in.

Viewing the Xero Sync from Date

The Sync from Date shows the start point of your data synchronisation with Xero.

  1. Go to Settings > Manage Integrations & Add-ons.

  2. Click View details under Xero.

The Sync from Date is displayed on the Xero details screen.

Note: The Sync from Date is a fixed setting and cannot be edited. Even if you disconnect and reconnect the Xero integration, the date remains the same.

One-to-One Connection Rule

Each Re-Leased company can only be connected to one Xero organisation. Once connected, you cannot reconnect that company to a different Xero organisation.
