Understanding Xero Integration Limitations

Xero integration limitations in Re-Leased — multi-currency contacts and invoices don't sync, Spend Money/Receive Money transactions are excluded, and contacts must be archived via Xero rather than Re-Leased.

The Xero integration with Re-Leased does not support all Xero features. The three main limitations are detailed below.


Multi-Currency Transactions

Contacts and invoices using Xero's multi-currency feature will not sync with Re-Leased and will generate sync errors on the Sync Results page.

If the contact is not required in Re-Leased, unlink the errors on the Sync Results page to stop future sync attempts.

If the contact is required in Re-Leased, choose one of these options:

  • Edit the contact in Xero to use your default currency, then trigger a sync and confirm the error clears. Note this may have unintended consequences for that contact in Xero.

  • Archive the contact in Xero and create an equivalent contact in Re-Leased to replace it.


Spend Money / Receive Money Transactions

Spend Money and Receive Money transactions created in Xero are not included in syncs and will not appear in Re-Leased.


Archiving Contacts

When connected to Xero, contacts cannot be archived from within Re-Leased. Archive the contact in Xero first — it will be archived in Re-Leased on the next sync.
