Understanding Sage Intacct Integration Limitations

Sage Intacct integration limitations in Re-Leased — multi-currency, journal entries, invoice PDFs, description lines, discounts, attachments, archiving contacts, and awaiting approval transactions.

Updated over a week ago

The Re-Leased integration with Sage Intacct does not support all Intacct features. Review these limitations before setup to understand where manual workarounds are needed.

Credit Notes and Adjustments

To allocate credit against an invoice, use AR Adjustments or AP Adjustments in Sage Intacct — these sync to Re-Leased as Credit Notes. Negative invoices (credit invoices) will fail to sync and throw a sync error.

Multi-Currency Items

Contacts and invoices using multiple currencies cannot sync with Re-Leased. To resolve: unlink the affected contacts and invoices from the integration, deactivate the contact in Intacct, then create a new contact in Re-Leased using your local currency.

Journal Entry Payments

Payments entered as journal entries will not sync from Sage Intacct to Re-Leased.

Overpayments and Prepayments

Overpayments or prepayments sitting as unallocated in Intacct do not transfer to Re-Leased. Once an overpayment is allocated to an invoice in Intacct, it will pull through to Re-Leased on the next sync.

Invoice Attachments

Attachments added to invoices in Sage Intacct do not sync with Re-Leased.

Deleted Intacct Invoices

Invoices deleted in Intacct will not sync to Re-Leased. If the invoice has already synced, void the corresponding invoice in Re-Leased manually. Reversed Intacct invoices will sync and void the corresponding Re-Leased invoice, but will also generate a sync error that needs to be unlinked.

Editing and Archiving Contacts

Contact edits and archive actions in Re-Leased do not sync to Intacct — apply changes manually in both systems.

A Customer or Vendor set to Inactive in Intacct will sync through and be archived in Re-Leased. A deleted Customer or Vendor in Intacct cannot be detected — a sync error will appear the next time the Re-Leased contact is edited or an invoice is raised for that contact.

Refunds

Refunds processed in Sage Intacct cannot be synced to Re-Leased.

Account Labels

Re-Leased does not support Sage Intacct's Account Labels feature. Account Labels replace account codes on line items — since Re-Leased only supports account codes, enabling Account Labels in Intacct will cause sync issues. If your Intacct instance has Account Labels enabled, disable this feature and use standard account codes instead.

Subtotal Dimensions

For Order Entry and Purchasing transactions, Re-Leased does not support manually setting Subtotal dimensions. From Intacct R1 2025, you can enable defaulting of subtotal dimensions based on line item dimensions — this should be enabled to allow transactions to sync correctly. See the Intacct release notes for setup instructions.

Document Sequencing Required for Contacts

Sage Intacct must have document sequencing enabled for both Customers and Vendors. When syncing new contacts from Re-Leased, Re-Leased does not supply a CustomerID or VendorID — Intacct's document sequence generates these automatically. Without document sequencing enabled, new contacts will fail to sync.
