Managing Your Sage Intacct Sync Errors

Common Sage Intacct sync errors in Re-Leased — causes and step-by-step resolutions for duplicate contacts, multi-currency, journal entries, negative invoices, credit note allocations, and linked transaction errors.

This reference covers the most common sync errors between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct, their causes, and how to resolve them.

Error Message

Cause and Resolution

A contact with this name already exists — please use a different name

Cause: Re-Leased does not allow two contacts with the same name. This usually occurs when both a Vendor and a Customer in Sage Intacct share the same name.

Resolution: Rename the duplicate contact in Sage Intacct — typically the Vendor contact.

Invoice/contact is using multi-currency. This feature is not currently supported by Re-Leased

Cause: A Sage Intacct invoice or contact is configured for multi-currency, which Re-Leased does not support.

Resolution: Unlink the invoice or contact from Re-Leased. Make the contact inactive in Sage Intacct and create a new contact in your local currency.

Payment has linked transaction(s) of type(s) 'Journal Entry' and is not currently supported by Re-Leased

Cause: Journal Entries do not sync from Sage Intacct to Re-Leased.

Resolution: Unlink the payment. Once unlinked, add the payment to the invoice in Re-Leased — it will not sync back to Sage Intacct as the invoice is already paid there.

Invoice 'Total' must be greater than or equal to '0'. Line items total must not be negative

Cause: A credit invoice or bill with negative amounts has been created in Sage Intacct. The integration does not support this format for credit notes.

Resolution: Recreate the transaction in Sage Intacct as an AR Adjustment (for income) or AP Adjustment (for expenses). Then unlink the original error from the Sync Results page.

For credit note allocations: Failed to push to Payment as AccountRef.Id must be provided — OR — PaymentMethodRef must be provided

Cause: Credit note allocations created in Re-Leased do not sync to Sage Intacct.

Resolution: Always create credit note allocations in Sage Intacct. If an allocation was already created in Re-Leased: (1) create a matching allocation in Sage Intacct, (2) trigger a manual sync, (3) unlink both the Re-Leased-created and Sage-created allocation errors from the Sync Results page.

This {transaction} is linked with transactions that have errors preventing a sync. Invalid links: {transaction id}

Cause: A linked entity (such as a contact or chart of account) has its own sync error that is blocking this transaction.

Resolution: Search for the linked error using the transaction ID, resolve that error first, then this transaction should sync automatically. See Resolving Entity Sync Errors with Sage Intacct for more information.
