Resolving Entity Sync Errors with Sage Intacct

Resolve the "Dependency has validation errors" sync error between Re-Leased and Sage Intacct. Explains why linked entities fail and how to find and fix the root cause using the Sync Results page.

Updated over a week ago

A Dependency has validation errors message during a Re-Leased and Sage Intacct sync means one or more related records have issues preventing data from flowing between the systems.

Why This Error Occurs

Entities in Re-Leased — including Contacts, Accounts, Tax Types, Invoices, Attachments, Credit Notes, Payments, and Tracking Options — are interconnected. If one entity has a problem, dependent records will also fail to sync.

For example: if an invoice is linked to a contact that hasn't synced or is invalid in Sage Intacct, the invoice will also fail. Resolve the contact error first, then the invoice will sync.

How to Resolve the Error

  1. Note the ID of the Account, Contact, Invoice, Tax, or Tracking Category referenced in the validation message.

  2. Go to the Sync Results Page in Re-Leased and ensure the Linked filter is active.

  3. Enter the ID in the search bar — the record with the validation issue will appear.

  4. Read the Detail message and click More info if you need additional guidance.

  5. Resolve the underlying issue, then re-run the sync.
