Managing Your Xero Sync Results

How to manage Xero sync results in Re-Leased — use the Sync Overview and Sync Results page to filter errors, link and unlink records, and understand sync direction and result table columns.

Updated over a week ago

The Sync Results page lets you monitor, filter, and act on sync records between Re-Leased and Xero. Use it to identify errors, relink records, and keep both systems aligned.

Checking the Sync Overview

Click the Sync icon in the secondary navigation bar and select Go to overview to open the Sync Overview page. This shows the sync health of all connected companies in your group.

Navigating the Sync Results Page

From the Sync Overview, click View results to see individual errors from your last sync. The page provides these tools:

  • Company Selector — choose which company's results to view.

  • Date Filter — display results from a selected date; defaults to your last successful sync date.

  • Status Filter — filter linked, unlinked, or all records.

  • Entity Filter — focus on specific record types such as Contacts or Invoices.

  • Search Filter — search by ID or detail column values.

  • Refresh Results — update results after a sync completes.

  • Sync Button — manually trigger a new sync.

  • Row Selector — select rows for bulk link/unlink actions.

Linking and Unlinking Records

Unlinking a record removes it from future syncs — useful when an error isn't easily resolved and you want to suppress it. Unlinked records can be relinked at any time.

Select the row(s) to link or unlink, then click the action at the bottom of the screen.

Note: Unlinking may have cascading effects on related records.

Understanding the Results Table

  • Date — last sync attempt for the record.

  • Type — entity type from Re-Leased.

  • Re-Leased ID — clickable link to the Re-Leased record.

  • External ID — clickable link to the Xero record.

  • Sync Direction — Outgoing (Re-Leased → Xero) or Incoming (Xero → Re-Leased).

  • Details — reason for the sync failure with an option for more information.

  • Link Status — whether the record is currently linked.

  • More Detail — expand the row for additional failure information.

  • Rows per page — choose 25, 50, 100, or all.
