Managing Property Areas

How to manage property areas in Re-Leased — view, add, edit, and archive areas within a property, set area size and market rent, and link areas to tenancies for accurate reporting.

Updated over a week ago

Property areas divide a property into distinct spaces — from rentable offices and retail units to non-lettable common areas. Each area can be linked to a tenancy and assigned a market rent value.

Viewing Property Areas

  1. Select the property from the Properties tab.

  2. Click Areas from the left-hand menu.

Adding a Property Area

  1. Click New Area.

  2. Enter a unique Title.

  3. Select or create an Area Type.

  4. Select the EPC Rating if required.

  5. Enter Floor and Suite details if required.

  6. Enter the Area Size and choose the Unit of Measurement (m², ft², ha, ac).

  7. Enter the Annual Market Rent or Cost per Square Metre — the system calculates the corresponding value.

  8. Click Save.

Editing or Archiving a Property Area

To edit: click the area name, select Edit, make changes, and click Save. Updating the size will dynamically recalculate market rent and cost per square metre.

To archive: navigate to the area and click Archive.
