Managing Keys for a Property

How to manage property keys in Re-Leased — add keys to the Keys tab, check keys out to contacts or users with an expected return date, check keys back in, and run the Key Status Report.

The Keys tab on a property lets you track which keys are on hand, who has checked them out, and when they're due back.


Adding a New Key

  1. Navigate to the property and click the Keys tab.

  2. Click + New Key.

  3. Enter a reference (e.g. "upstairs", "back door") and an optional description.

  4. Click Save Key.

Checking a Key Out

  1. Click Check Keys Out.

  2. Enter the borrower's details and expected return date. You can check a key out to an existing contact or user.

  3. Select the key being checked out.

  4. Click Check Keys Out.

Checking a Key In

  1. Click Check Keys In.

  2. The list shows all currently checked-out keys.

  3. Select the correct key and click Check Keys In.

Key Status Report

Navigate to Reports > Property > Key Status Report for an in-depth view of key allocations across your portfolio.
