Landlord Portal

How to set up and use the Landlord Portal in Re-Leased — enable the portal, invite owners, manage accounts, and understand the Dashboard, Statements, Properties, Contact, and Account sections. Primarily for Client/Trust Accounting users.

Updated yesterday

The Landlord Portal is a desktop portal that gives owners a high-level overview of their property portfolio. For Client/Trust Accounting users, it also provides easy access to owner statements. The portal is less commonly used by Connected Accounting or Standalone customers.

Setting Up the Landlord Portal

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Integrations & Add-ons.

  2. Enable the Landlord Portal.

  3. Customise the portal's web URL — this is what owners will use to access it.

  4. Upload a company banner for branding.

Note: Each Re-Leased company requires its own unique portal URL.

Managing Portal Settings

Once the portal is enabled, three management options are available from the same screen:

  • Manage Landlord Portal Users — invite owners and create their usernames and passwords.

  • Configure Landlord Portal — adjust settings such as whether to display the available balance within the portal.

  • Disable Landlord Portal — deactivate the portal if it is no longer needed.

Inviting and Managing Owner Accounts

You have two ways to give owners access:

  • Invite an Owner — send an invitation email with a link for the owner to create their account and set a password. The contact must already exist as an Owner contact in Re-Leased — attempting to invite a non-Owner contact will return an error.

  • Create an Account Manually — set up the account on behalf of the owner.

When sending an invitation you can edit the Subject and Email Body. Do not modify the link merge field in the email body. Once sent, the owner's status shows as Invited. If needed, select Cancel Invitation to withdraw it.

Owner Registration

The invited owner receives an email with a link to accept the invitation. On clicking the link they can register and create a password. Once complete they have full access to the Landlord Portal.

Dashboard

After logging in, owners see their personalised Dashboard with:

  • Available Balance — if enabled in settings, the total balance across all owner ledgers displays in the top-right corner.

  • Latest Statements — a preview of recent statements on the right-hand side. Owners can select a statement to download it as a PDF or close the preview.

Note: The Available Balance is only visible if enabled under Configure Landlord Portal settings.

Statements

The Statements section displays all statements linked to the owner contact. Owners can use the search function to filter statements by date range.

Properties

The Properties section gives owners a summary of income vs expenses for each property, including:

  • A high-level overview of tenancies with key information.

  • Details of Maintenance and Inspections, with tasks categorised as All, Completed, or Current. Tasks can be viewed up to 90 days in the past or future.

Contact

Owners can contact the property manager directly via a submission form in the Contact section. They can also send a copy of the correspondence to themselves for reference. The property manager's contact details are displayed on the right-hand side.

Account

The Account menu allows owners to manage their personal details under My Details. They can also change their password or sign out from this menu.

Disabling the Landlord Portal

Navigate to Settings > Manage Integrations & Add-ons and select the option to deactivate the portal.

For Asia-Pacific customers, "Trust Account" is the standard term; European customers refer to this as "Client Account". Client/Trust Accounting is not available to customers in North America. For more information on regional terminology, see our Glossary of Regional Terminology.
