Audit Log

The Audit Log provides a centralised view of who changed what and when across the Re-Leased platform. Filter by entity type and date range to refine the search

NOTE: The Audit Log is a new feature that has limited data coverage. Additional entities will be added over time. Audit history for each record type is only available from the date that record type was added to the Audit Log — changes made before this date will not be shown.

The Audit Log gives you a centralised, searchable record of changes made across your portfolio — who changed what, when, and what the previous value was. Access it under Settings to investigate changes, resolve disputes, and support compliance requirements.

Who Can Access the Audit Log

Access to the Audit Log is controlled by a dedicated permission. Users without the View audit log permission will not see the Audit Log option in Settings and cannot access audit data via any other route.

If you cannot see the Audit Log, ask your organisation's administrator to grant you the View audit log permission.

How to Access the Audit Log

  1. Navigate to Settings in the main navigation.

  2. Under the General section click Audit Log.

How to Filter Audit Log Results

Use the filter controls at the top of the Audit Log page to narrow results. All filters are optional — apply only the ones relevant to your search.

  • Entity type — select the type of record to search (for example, Property). Only entity types that have audit data appear in this list. The list will grow as more record types are added to the Audit Log.

  • Date range — set a From date and To date. The default view shows the last 30 days.

Click Apply to run the filtered search. Click Reset to reset all filters to their defaults.

Understanding Audit Log Results

Each row in the results table shows a single change event. The table columns are:

  • Timestamp - when the change occurred (date and time in your time zone).

  • User - the person who made the change. If the change was made by an automated system process, this field will be blank.

  • Entity type - the type of record, or the area of the Re-Leased platform that was changed (for example, 'Lease' or 'Property').

  • Event Type - the type of change, 'Insert', 'Update', 'Archive'

  • Entity - The name of the entity that was amended. For example, if it was a 'Property' entity type, the entity will be a property name

  • Field - The field name that was amended

  • Old Value - The value before the amendment was made. If there was no value it will show as a blank field. Red highlights will indicate was was changed in the record

  • New value - What the updated value was saved as. Green highlights will indicate what part of the new value was changed.

Which Record Types Are Covered by the Audit Log

The Audit Log will eventually cover ALL data changes across the platform from property and lease records to accounting, reporting and settings. This will take time.

Important:

  • If you search for an entity that is not visible in the entity dropdown selector, it has not yet been connected.

  • If you search by a date range before the entity was connected to the audit log, you will not see any results. These dates will vary by entity.

The audit records continually build, over time you will have a full, rich history of data changes.

When a new entity type becomes available in the Audit Log, it will appear automatically in the Entity type filter dropdown. No configuration is required.
