Invoice Terms Explained

A reference glossary of all terms used on invoices in Re-Leased, including issue date, due date, ledger, tax, status, and more. Covers regional terminology differences.

This glossary defines the terms used on invoices in Re-Leased. Use it as a reference when reviewing invoice records, running reports, or reconciling accounts.

Term

Description

Issue Date

The date shown on the invoice.

Created Date

The date the invoice was created or generated in Re-Leased.

Due Date

The date payment is due on the invoice.

Service Date

The budget period the invoice is attributable to.

Invoice

The unique invoice identifier number.

Credit Note

The unique credit note identifier number. (North America: Credit Memo)

Reference

The reference field on the invoice or credit note.

Ledger

The ledger assigned to the line item on the invoice.

Property Manager

The property manager of the related property on the invoice.

Related Property

The property selected on the invoice.

Area Occupied

The area or areas occupied by the related tenant on the invoice.

Related Tenancy

The tenancy selected on the invoice. (North America: Lease)

Contact

The name of the related contact on the invoice.

Description

The line item description.

Account

The chart of account assigned to the line item.

Net Amount

The net amount on the line item before tax.

Tax Rate

The tax rate assigned to the line item.

Tax (GST/VAT)

The amount of tax charged on the line item.

Gross Amount

The total amount charged including tax.

Date Paid/Allocated

The date a payment was made or a credit note was allocated to the invoice.

Date Payment/Allocation Processed

The date a payment or credit allocation was processed against the invoice.

Amount Paid/Allocated

The amount paid or allocated to the invoice.

Outstanding

The remaining amount still to be paid.

Status

The current invoice status β€” for example, Approved or Paid.

Emailed?

Whether the invoice has been emailed β€” Yes or No.

Source

The transaction type β€” for example, Income Invoice, Income Credit Note, Expense Invoice, or Expense Credit Note.


For Asia-Pacific customers, "Trust Account" is used where European customers say "Client Account". North American customers will see "Leases" instead of "Tenancies" and "Credit Memo" instead of "Credit Note". For more information on regional terminology, see our Glossary of Regional Terminology.
