Updated over a week ago

You can permanently delete archived contacts in Re-Leased to comply with data retention requirements. This action cannot be undone. Check all invoices under the contact before proceeding.

How to Delete an Archived Contact

  1. Go to the Contact Archive tab in Re-Leased.

  2. Locate the contact and click the Delete button.

  3. Confirm that you understand the following will occur:

    • Removal of personal data.

    • Erasure of all contact correspondence.

  4. Click Delete This Contact to confirm.

Once confirmed, Re-Leased will: anonymise all contact data (the Name field changes to "Deleted Contact"), delete all contact documents and emails, and remove the contact from the Archived tab.

Note: It is recommended to manually check and delete any contact documents that were not automatically removed.

Accounting Integrations

Contact deletions do not currently sync with accounting integrations. This is planned for a future release.

User Permissions

Only users with Can Archive Contact permissions or system Administrators can delete contacts. If the delete option is unavailable, ask your Administrator to grant the necessary permissions.

Audit Trail

The system logs the deletion and adds an entry to the audit trail. The deleted contact's identity is anonymised in the log, preserving confidentiality while maintaining an informative audit record.
