You can generate documents directly from a lease/tenancy record by merging tenant data into forms and agreement templates, then send them by email or download as PDF.
Self-guided demo: Communication Template Settings (Section 5)
Generating Documents from a Lease/Tenancy
Open the relevant Lease/Tenancy record.
Click Documents from the left-hand menu.
Select Generate Forms and Agreements.
Customising the Document
The document title auto-populates with the lease/tenancy name — edit it for clarity if needed. This is the title that appears in the Lease/Tenancy Documents list. Select as many templates as needed from the list to merge into a single document.
Previewing and Saving
Use Preview to check the merged data. The preview generates as a PDF.
Click Save to finalise. You can then download the document or email it directly.
Sending by Email
Email recipients are pre-selected based on lease/tenancy contact preferences. Adjust the recipient list if needed. See Managing Lease/Tenancy Contacts for setup guidance.
Compose the subject line and message body. Use a predefined General template or draft a new message.
Confirm the document is attached as a PDF before sending.
In North America, "Tenancies" are referred to as "Leases". For more information on regional terminology, see our Glossary of Regional Terminology.
