Setting Measurement Units

How to set measurement units in Re-Leased — configure the company default (square metre, square foot, hectare, or acre), adjust units per area, customise display units for area totals, and set units when generating Tenancy Schedules.

Updated over a week ago

You can set a default measurement unit for your company and adjust units at an individual area level. Changing the default only affects new size entries — existing data is not retroactively updated.

Setting the Default Measurement Unit

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies > [Select Company] > Defaults & Customisation.

  2. Select your preferred unit: Square metre, Square foot, Hectare, or Acre.

Changing the Unit for an Individual Area

  1. Locate the size field for the area to adjust.

  2. Click the grey dropdown to the right of the field.

  3. Select the desired measurement unit.

Customising Display Units for Area Size Totals

When viewing a list of areas, select your preferred display unit from the dropdown or settings option. This changes how totals are displayed — it does not alter the stored area sizes.

Setting Units for Tenancy Schedules

When generating a Tenancy Schedule, you can choose which unit the totals display in. Click Display and select the measurement unit. This is for display purposes only and does not modify the underlying data.
