Using Tags with Maintenance Tasks

How to use tags with maintenance tasks in Re-Leased — create and assign custom status tags, filter the Maintenance Hub by tag, and follow best practices for a consistent tagging system.

Updated over a week ago

Tags on maintenance tasks act as custom statuses, making it easy to organise and prioritise your workflow. Examples include Awaiting Owner Approval or Contractor Accepted — you can create any tags that match your business processes.

Creating and Assigning Tags

  1. Navigate to the maintenance task you want to tag.

  2. Click Add Tag and type the tag name. You can add multiple tags per task.

  3. Tags save automatically.

Searching and Filtering by Tag

  1. In the Maintenance Hub, locate the Tags dropdown above the table.

  2. Select a tag or start typing to search.

  3. The list filters to show all maintenance tasks associated with that tag.

Best Practices

  • Be consistent — use a consistent naming convention to avoid duplicates.

  • Keep it simple — tags should be easy to remember and descriptive at a glance.

  • Categorise meaningfully — use tags that reflect your operational stages, such as Awaiting Owner Approval or Contractor Accepted.
