Create a Maintenance Task

How to create a maintenance task in Re-Leased — add tasks from the Quick Links menu, Maintenance Hub, or a property/tenancy Tasks page, and complete all required details including type, contractor, cost, and description of works.

You can create maintenance tasks in Re-Leased from the Quick Links menu, the Maintenance Hub, or directly from a property or tenancy's Tasks page.


How to Add a Maintenance Task

Option 1 — Quick Links Menu:

  1. Click the + icon in the Quick Links menu.

  2. Select New Maintenance under Property & Tenancies.

  3. Choose the Company and Property, then click Continue.

Option 2 — Maintenance Hub:

  1. Navigate to the Maintenance Hub from the Dashboard.

  2. Click + Create Maintenance in the top right.

  3. Select the Company and Property, then click Continue.

Option 3 — Property or Tenancy Tasks page:

  1. Go to the relevant Property or Tenancy record.

  2. Click Tasks from the left-hand menu.

  3. Click Create New Maintenance.

Adding Task Details

When creating a maintenance task, complete the following:

  • Title — a clear description of the task.

  • Maintenance Job Type — select the appropriate category.

  • Tenancy and Area — link to a specific tenancy and area if applicable.

  • Assigned to — delegate to a team member, or leave to default to the Property Manager.

  • Contractor — select a contractor, with the option to restrict to Preferred Suppliers.

  • Budgeted cost and due date — for task visibility and tracking.

  • Repeats — for recurring tasks, set the frequency.

  • Description of Works — detailed instructions for the contractor.

  • Notes — optional additional notes, with the option to include these on the work order.

  • Associated keys — link any keys required for the task.

  • Documents and images — attach relevant files.

  • Tenancy Maintenance Contacts — auto-populated if set to receive maintenance notices.

Click Save to create the task.
