Rent Review Adjustments on the Rent Template

How rent review adjustments apply to the Rent Template in Re-Leased — select which line items receive the increase, review allocations during a rent review using Old/New Rate columns, and manually update the template when needed.

Updated over a week ago

When a rent review increase is applied, you can control which line items in the Rent Template receive the adjustment. Increases cannot be allocated to Outgoings or Service Charges categories. If applied across multiple lines, the total increase is split proportionally.

Setting Allocation in the Rent & Outgoings Template

From the Rent & Outgoings tab, select which line items are eligible for the next rent review increase before the review is performed.

Reviewing Allocation During the Rent Review

During the review, a banner displays the total increase to be allocated. The Old Rate and New Rate columns show figures side by side — these are read-only unless you choose to manually update.

Manually Updating the Allocation

  1. Select the option to manually update the Rent Template during the review.

  2. Add new line items or adjust rates as needed.

A prompt confirms you're entering manual mode — you can cancel at any time to revert to the original template.

Note: In manual update mode, allocation checkboxes do not automatically calculate increases. Any checkbox-marked modifications take effect in the next rent review only.

In North America, "Tenancies" are referred to as "Leases" and "Terms & Breaks" as "Terms & Options". For more information, see our Glossary of Regional Terminology.
