Resolving Expenses from Xero Not Displaying in Re-Leased

Troubleshoot Xero expenses not showing against a property in Re-Leased — checks cover entry type, bill tracking, tracking category connection, property setup, and the Sync From date.

Updated this week

If expenses from Xero are not displaying against a property in Re-Leased, work through these checks to identify and resolve the cause.

Check 1: Verify the Expense Entry Type

Only Bills sync from Xero to Re-Leased. Transactions entered as Spend Money or Receive Money through cash coding will not appear in Re-Leased.

Check 2: Confirm Bill Tracking Is Configured

Bill tracking links an invoice in Xero to a specific property in Re-Leased. If a bill has no tracking assigned, it will still sync to Re-Leased and appear in Income and Expenses — but it will be associated with the contact only, not the property.

Check 3: Confirm Tracking Is Connected to Your Re-Leased Company

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies.

  2. Review the Invoicing section for each company to confirm a tracking category is linked to the property.

Check 4: Verify Property Tracking Is Set

Confirm the tracking is correctly configured for the specific property by checking the Property Summary or Property Details page in Re-Leased.

Check 5: Review the Bill Date Against the Sync From Date

Bills dated before your Sync From date will not appear. To check:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Add-ons and Integrations.

  2. Select the relevant company, then select Xero.

  3. Check the Sync From date. If the bill date is earlier, update the bill date in Xero to fall within the sync range.
