Adjusting Invoice Due Dates

If you need to set a rental invoice due date to the 1st of the month without altering the rental period start date or invoice frequency, follow these steps:

  • Ensure the rental period starts on the 1st of the month.

  • Set the invoice due date to "First day of the rental period."

Re-Leased supports three due date options tied to the rental period:

  1. First day of the rental period

  2. Last day of the rental period

  3. Day after the last day of the rental period

By selecting the first option, the due date will align with the 1st of the month without affecting the rental period or invoice generation timing.

Setting Invoice Dates to Generation Dates

To configure rent invoices so that the Invoice Date reflects the actual generation date:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Manage Companies.

  2. Select the relevant company.

  3. Open the Invoicing tab.

  4. Under Rent and Outgoings Invoices, locate the Date for Advance Invoices setting.

  5. From the dropdown menu, choose Use the date the invoice is generated.

This ensures that advance rent or outgoing invoices display the creation date as the Invoice Date.

Before making these changes, ensure that any applied payments are cleared by unreconciling and reversing them. If disbursements were made, reverse those as well.
