Setting up your Re-Leased account correctly is crucial for managing your properties effectively. This step-by-step checklist covers critical, additional, and optional settings to ensure your account is configured according to best practices. By following these steps, you’ll optimize your workflow and have a seamless property management experience.

Crucial Settings for All Account Types

Company Settings

Set up essential details for each company:

  • Upload a logo.
  • Enter company address and contact information.
  • Set invoice advance generation preferences.
  • Define user access permissions for security.

Navigate to: Settings Menu > Manage Companies and complete these steps for each company. For more information, refer to Setting Up a New Company.

User Roles

Review, edit, or create user roles to assign appropriate permissions (Pro accounts only).

Users

Invite new users and grant access to specific companies if you manage multiple entities:

  • Navigate to: Settings Menu > Users > Invite User.
  • Assign company access under Users > Companies > Companies Without Access.

Additional Crucial Settings for Trust/Client Accounting

Review Company Contact Details

Verify the following information to display accurate details on owner statements:

  • Company Name
  • Email
  • Phone
  • Postal Address
  • Payment method and account details for management fees

Use the Global Search function and locate your company under the "Company" contact type.

Bond Authority Contacts

Add Bond Authority contacts for governing bodies and interest-bearing bond accounts.

Owner Statements

Customize owner statements for better financial reporting:

  • Set default type and customize logos or banners as necessary.
  • Adjust email display and color schemes.
  • Select a tax number for NZ, ABN for AU, or VAT for UK regions.

Chart of Accounts
